Rectangular mirrors with lights

A rectangle is the shape that fits a bathroom wall with the least waste. Above a basin it follows the line of the vanity unit; in a cloakroom it fits the narrow strip of wall where a circle would sit awkwardly. With the LED running down both long sides, the face is lit from left and right – the arrangement that shows the most and hides the least, which is exactly what you want when shaving or applying make-up.

Landscape or portrait?

Landscape suits a wide vanity unit and makes a small bathroom feel wider. Portrait suits a narrow wall beside a shower, and gives you more of yourself in the reflection. Either way, keep the mirror at 70–90% of the width of the unit below.

Square mirrors

A square reads as calmer than a landscape rectangle and takes up less wall than a portrait one. It works well in a cloakroom or above a small basin, where a wide mirror would run into a corner.

Choosing the size

LED mirrors come in fixed widths and heights, listed on each product page. If none of them fits the space, the answer is a mirror without lights – draw yours in the cut to size configurator, width and height to the centimetre, up to 200 × 200 cm. Bathrooms with awkward alcoves are the usual reason people go that way.

Extras

The demister pad keeps the glass clear when the room steams up; the touch sensor puts the switch on the glass itself; the Bluetooth speaker plays through the mirror. A frame in brushed anodised aluminium is available in five colours, but note that a framed mirror does not throw light onto the wall behind it. Every mirror is cut, polished and packed in our own workshop and dispatched within 4 working days. Delivery is free on orders over £100.

Our LED mirrors are IP44 rated depending on the version. A mains-powered mirror in a bathroom should still be connected by a qualified electrician, who will check that the position suits the bathroom zone it sits in. We don't fit shaver sockets, and we don't make battery-powered mirrors.
