Choosing the diameter

A round mirror – or a circle mirror, as half our customers call it – is sized by what sits below it, not by the wall as a whole. Above a vanity unit or a chest of drawers, aim for 70–90% of the width of the furniture. On its own on a wall, the usual mistake is going too small – a circle needs to be big enough to read as deliberate. Popular diameters are 50, 60, 70, 80, 100 and 120 cm; below 40 cm a round mirror becomes an accent rather than a mirror you use.

Where circles work

In a bathroom, against the grid of the tiling. In a hallway, above a console table where a tall rectangle would feel heavy. In a living room, in a group of two or three at different diameters – which works better than one circle stranded in the middle of a large wall.

Large round mirrors

Above about 100 cm a circle stops being a detail and becomes the feature of the wall. At those sizes the frameless version is usually the right one – no moulding to add visual weight. See large wall mirrors for the rest of the range.

Round mirrors with lights

If the mirror is going somewhere you shave or apply make-up, the lit version is worth it: the LED runs around the whole circumference, so the face is lit evenly from every side. Those live under round LED mirrors, in fixed diameters.

Any diameter you like

You choose the exact size on mirrors without lights: set the width and height to the centimetre in the configurator, up to 200 × 200 cm, with round mirrors from 13 to 150 cm across. LED mirrors come in fixed sizes. A circle is one of the two shapes the configurator draws directly, so you can order any diameter between 13 and 150 cm without getting in touch.

Spread the weight across several fixings. Mirrors with lights come with a mounting kit in the box; for mirrors without lights you order hangers, mirror adhesive or mounting tape as an accessory. In plasterboard, use fixings rated for the weight, and on tiles drill with a tile bit.
